Number 2

She carries your books, opens your doors, waits for you after school

She gets you sweet treats, stays by your side, even when you’re uncool
She waits in the rain at the bus stop, you never came
She went home alone, drenched by the cold and icy rain

Trying hard to find that someone who’s so special
Out of reach, you’re tough to get, like she’s not meant to be that girl

The one you like is out of sight
The one that loves you is beside
But you don’t even notice twice
She can’t even catch your eyes
So stop and see the things she does for you
Beside the other one, she’s number two

She answers your calls, does all your work, listens to your troubles
She treats you nicely, halves your sorrows, happiness she’ll double
She hides in the corner, afraid to show that she loves you
She hides her feelings, thinking it’s too good to be true

Trying hard to find that someone who’s so special
Out of reach, you’re tough to get, like she’s not meant to be that girl

The one you like is out of sight
The one that loves you is beside
But you don’t even notice twice
She can’t even catch your eyes
So stop and see the things she does for you
Beside the other one, she’s number two
